Extreme Temperatures Can Effect Your Electric Vehicle Range

In a study done by AAA, they found that extreme temperatures can effect electric vehicle range, sometimes as much as 50%.  As temperatures rise or drop, electric vehicle owners my experience a decrease in driving range, compounded by the use of the vehicles climate control system.

AAA tested five vehicles, the Chevy Bolt, BMW i3s, Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model S 75D and the Volkswagon E Gulf. All five vehicles have a minimum EPA estimated driving range of 100 miles. AAA simulated real world driving conditions on a dynamometer (think treadmill for cars) in a climate controlled environment.

Chrysler To Unveil 35th Anniversary Edition Pacifica At Chicago Auto Show

02/04/19- To mark it's 35th year in the minivan business, Chrysler will be debuting the 35th Anniversary Edition Pacifica at the Chicago Auto Show being held February 9th-18th. 

On the exterior, Anniversary Edition Pacificas will feature a 35th anniversary badge and liquid chrome Chrysler wing badges and gloss black trim on the front fascia and rear liftgate. Inside, Anniversary Edition Pacificas feature a black interior featuring Cranberry Wine accent stitching on the seats.

02/03/19-I always get asked the question "do you think rebates are going to go up" or "are there going to be any (insert holiday here) rebates?"  Well, if I could predict the future, I wouldn't be selling cars. 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Earns Best Honors from Automobile Journalists Association of Canada

1/26/19-Adding to its long list of honors, the Chrysler Pacifica takes home a notable distinction from the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada. The 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is now the title-holder of Best EV in Canada. As part of the AJAC’s annual Canadian Car and Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year awards program, the Best EV title now places the Pacifica Hybrid in the running for the Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year award, which the Chrysler Pacifica took home in 2018. This year’s award will be announced on Feb. 14, at Toronto’s Canadian International AutoShow.

January 24, 2019 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Cars.com editors announced today that the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica is once again its 'Family Car of the Year.' 
 
This is the second year in a row that the Chrysler Pacifica has earned the 'Family Car of the Year' title, building on its 2017 model-year introduction win of Cars.com’s 'Best of' Award.
